Randy Nelson's Business Workshop

Harvard Business Review concluded that there are only two ways to grow a business. Increase revenue or decrease expenses. They went on further to say the only right way to grow your business for the long-term is to grow revenue.

Randy will highlight “Revenue Levers”, the levers that every business needs to identify to grow their business for the long-term, along with his introduction of his “Revenue Lever Strategy Tool’, which is designed to help entrepreneurs set more quantifiable and specific strategy for the future in their businesses.

“In my experience with clients over the past decade, after going through the Revenue Lever exercise, business owners find that they have significantly more room for growth in their companies than they actually realize, or that they have set for their current goals.”

In this learning event, Randy will illustrate the three ways to build revenue…through existing Revenue Levers, M & A and with new products and services. In addition, Randy will discuss in detail the “Baseline concept”, highlighting the difference between Fools Gold, Gold, Diamond and Cubic Zirconia level questions and decisions as they relate to the entrepreneur, their data and metrics, and their gut.

“The entrepreneur does need to be the most disciplined person in their organization, but they do need to be consistent in making disciplined decisions to maximize and realize their full-potential.

On Thursday, August 18th – Randy will lead a face-to-face learning event at The Decision Center for a maximum 20 participants, from 9-12pm. This event will be hands-on, working with real data from the companies participating, and will include a more in-depth look at Revenue Levers, the Revenue Lever Strategy Tool and the Truth and Trends of your expenses.

On August 19th, we will have a virtual lunch and learn from 12pm to 1pm. We will not be capped on attendance during the virtual lunch and learn. Randy will discuss the many different opportunities available to utilize data at a much higher level within your organization, focusing on the development of “The Truth and Trends” in your organization for your expenses, along with the development of Revenue Levers.

Randy Nelson was one of the founding members of the EO Raleigh-Durham chapter, a member of the chapter for 20 years, and for the past three years has been giving back to the chapter through his support as an SAP. Randy has facilitated numerous retreats for forums, and for those who know him, they expect that he will ask direct questions that challenge the entrepreneurial leader to get outside their comfort zone, so that they can grow their leadership skills as fast as their company is growing. Indeed, the growth of a company is limited by the growth of its leaders.
