The #1 Strategy To Grow Your Business in 2023
As an entrepreneur in Raleigh-Durham, who do you turn to when you need…
...Help with something you’ve never experienced before?
...Someone to watch your blind spots?
...A BS-Free place to strategize with others like you?
...A group of peers that will inspire you to achieve more?
Very few people understand the challenges we face as the leaders of our companies. Even fewer are willing to help us without trying to sell us something.
Elite entrepreneurs who are willing to help you grow live right here in Raleigh-Durham. But we often can’t find them because we look in the wrong places.
Hi, my name is Amit Kothari,
The truth is, we entrepreneurs are an odd bunch, aren’t we?
I mean, who in their right mind enjoys the kind of risks we bring on ourselves every day by hacking a path through the uncharted business world!
The great upside to our lives and our contribution to society ..as well as material success are what people hear about a lot, but the truth is Entrepreneurship comes with key challenges and dire consequences.
Leading the charge into the unknown, sometimes alone, we don’t have...
● A safe space to share our key ideas and deeper mindset
● (Qualified) People to get real criticism and feedback from
● A roadmap for how to proceed with big decisions
● A safety net when things get dicey
● Readily available benchmarks to which to compare ourselves
And I don’t know about you, but when there’s as much riding on the decisions I’m responsible for, trying to operate without these things is nerve-wracking.
Plus, the stakes have only grown as my company has. In my “pre-reality check” world...it was supposed to get easier!
Where, at first, it was just me and my family (a huge responsibility in its own right), now, I have an entire team of people putting in their blood, sweat, and tears that I have to support.
And if I get it wrong? It affects every single one of them… and their families.
The worst part is, I’ve found that very few people understand this pressure… and even fewer can and will help me with it.
I mean, as much as my family and friends are there to support me, they rarely “get” what I do or have the advice that I need when I have questions.
After all, they aren’t trying to build a multi-million dollar business from the ground up. As much as it feels like going it alone is the only option, we both know that’s not the right approach either.
Think about it – would you be where you are today without the people around you who had guided and influenced you?
I wouldn’t be. Bottomline, EO can help you get to the next level so we ALL win.
To your success! - Amit

THE PROBLEM WITH
NETWORKING WHEN YOU’VE ALREADY “BUILT IT”
I don’t know about you, but when I got to the point where my business was doing more than a million a year, the local entrepreneur scene stopped being useful.
In fact, the more I tried to network, the more it seems like the people who were the most vocal about entrepreneurship were also the least successful at it.
You know who I’m talking about… the hobbyists who dabble in affiliate marketing.
The web-design barista collectives that love to talk about their pre-revenue daydreams over an overpriced latte.
I mean, let’s face it – we’re busy… we don’t need yet another social hour over coffee with the local neighborhood wantreprenuer group.
We need solid, credible advice from people who have the company and success to back it up.
And while, sometimes I have gotten lucky and met a few people like that, more often than not the ROI on the time I invest comes up short.
Even “exclusive” networking groups and events never seem to introduce me to the people I’m looking for because:
01 SOMEONE IS TRYING TO SELL YOU SOMETHING
If you’re anything like me, you probably get so many pitches already. The last thing I need is another one. But yet, so many groups exist solely for this purpose… and even promote it! In fact, it often feels impossible to find one where people aren’t pushing them at every meet up.
02 TOO FEW PEOPLE ARE TRANSPARENT
Business is competitive, yes. But you simply can’t learn if knowledge isn’t shared freely. I’m not coming to meetups to read between the lines – I want to share best practices and learn with people who actually care about the success of those around them. To stay up-to-date with cutting edge trends and get ideas on how to help my team members be more successful.
03 EVERYONE IS "FAKING IT UNTIL THEY MAKE IT"
This doesn’t work and we know it. We’re good with where we’re at – we’ve got proof and we don’t need to push it around to show we’re better than anyone else. And networking with people who who haven’t figured that out yet isn’t going to get us anywhere. We need people who are humble enough to ask questions and explore new possibilities, not people who think they have it all figured out (because let’s face it – no one has it all figured out).
04 THE FOCUS IS TOO TACTICAL
Let’s face it – when you play on the level we do, tactics aren’t going to create many big wins anymore. They might have at the beginning, but not now. We need strategies. Benchmarks. Mindsets. Perspective. Systems. Best Practices. The stuff that drives continuous growth! Most groups I checked out simply couldn’t play on this level. And as a result, I usually walked away with watered-down Kool-aid when I really needed jet fuel.
05 PEOPLE AREN'T LIKE-MINDED ENOUGH
Growing a company from the ground up is a lot different than working for one you were hired into. And it’s a whole lot different than running a brick and mortar local business. So while I did benefit from some of the networking I did in these groups, I found too many of them weren’t focused enough on the extra challenges we face as entrepreneurs.
In fact, just about every time I search for people who can help me, I’m left wondering if the people I’m looking for even exist.
I’ll cut to the chase – they absolutely do. They’re just hard to find because we’re usually looking in the wrong places.
WHY IT'S SO HARD TO FIND CREDIBLE ENTREPRENEURS TO LEARN FROM
It’s so easy to associate success as an entrepreneur with being known publicly for what you do.
I mean, we get bombarded with images and media of what the “entrepreneurial greats” are doing from all angles these days.
Naturally, I figured if you’re an elite entrepreneur here in Raleigh-Durham we would know who you are by default too.
But while that’s true for some, I learned it’s far from the norm because:
01 MOST SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEURS HAVE THEIR HEADS DOWN BUILDING THEIR BUSINESSES
02 MOST SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEURS AREN'T TRANSPARENT ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES IN PUBLIC
As a result, they’re usually not in the places we think to look for them nor open to sharing their expertise when we do bump into them.
After all – networking events aren’t really the right place to do that are they?
That’s when it hit me – the reason it’s so hard to find credible entrepreneurs to learn from isn’t because
I can’t find the people...
It’s because I can’t find the right environment.
As I thought about it, this is the same reason why exclusive networking events or groups I’d investigated previously didn’t deliver either.
They aren’t designed to encourage people to:
• Drop pretenses and be transparent
• Focus on learning rather than “networking”
• Open up about personal as well as professional struggles
In fact, they’re usually designed to do just the opposite. And as a result, they attract the wrong people.
What I needed to do was find a place that was built to support these things and attracted the people who valued them like I did.
I have to be honest – I’ve only found one place where people who value these things hang out.
So if you’re struggling to find mentors and peers you can call on when you need help, I want to invite you to check out the group below.
It’s become my go to group when I have questions or even when things go well and I just want to share it with someone who really understands.
And the best part is, it’s not just here in the city – it’s all across the globe.

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ENTREPRENEURS' ORGANIZATION...
"HOW IS EO DIFFERENT THAN OTHER EXECUTIVE NETWORKING GROUPS, PROFESSIONAL CLUBS, MASTERMINDS, OR SOCIAL HOURS?"
In short, it’s a local community with an unprecedented global scale. But more than that, it’s truly a transparent, learning-centric environment full of elite entrepreneurs. EO does not allow sales pitches to occur at its events and keeps a heavy focus on developing the totality of the entrepreneur, not just their business.
"I USUALLY TRY TO KEEP MY PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL LIFE SEPARATE. WHY THE EMPHASIS ON PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT?"
The most successful entrepreneurs usually let their personality and values permeate their businesses. Furthermore, two parts of life often affect each other even when we do try to keep them separate. That’s why in addition to offering peer sharing, support, and networking, EO helps entrepreneurs find ways to develop, balance, and even mix their personal and professional lives. This is one of the key things that has made EO so successful for so many people.
"HOW DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS WORK?"
Once your application is received, it will be reviewed by the Raleigh-Durham Chapter and one of our members will schedule an interview with you to get to know you better. Once your application is accepted, you will be assigned a Forum and given access to local Raleigh-Durham Chapter and Global events, as well as all of the other benefits being a member!
WE DIDN'T GET HERE BY BEING CARELESS WITH OUR TIME AND MONEY
...But we won’t get where we want to go next by being careless with who we choose to surround ourselves with either.
As often as we hear it, Jim Rohn was right. We really are only as good as the people we spend the most time with.
And that only gets more true the more successful we get.
That’s why those who are changing the world make sure to surround themselves with people who push them higher.
People who:
01 WILLINGLY OPEN UP THEIR WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE TO HELP THEM SUCCEED
02 HAVE THE SKILLS, EXPERTISE, AND EXPERIENCE TO HELP WITH THEIR BIGGEST STRUGGLES PROFESSIONALLY AND PERSONALLY
03 ARE ALREADY TRANSFORMING THE WORLD IN THEIR OWN RIGHT AND CHALLENGE THEM TO THINK DIFFERENTLY
