Start Your Engines — EO RDU Community Kickoff

Date

Sat, Aug 29

Time

1:00–4:00 PM

Where

Andretti, Durham

What’s included

Find out who’s the fastest entrepreneur in the Triangle.

A private event space with its own bar, a loaded arcade card in every hand at check-in, reserved track time for our group, and fuel of the slider-and-nachos kind. Come for the speed, the snacks, or the chance to catch up with your chapter.

Reserved track time

Go-kart racing with the track held for our group, plus junior and mini karts so the whole family can drive.

Arcade card for every guest

Handed out at check-in. If a child would rather stay off the track, the arcade is a perfectly good afternoon.

Lunch and a private bar

Slider buffet with a build-your-own nacho station, sweet and unsweet tea, water, and our own event space.

The afternoon

Arrive on time — late arrivals may miss their track slot.

Andretti holds our karts to a schedule, so the 2:40 briefing is a hard start. Everything before it is relaxed.

Who can race?

Andretti assigns drivers to tracks by height and age. Tell us each child’s age and approximate height when you register so we can reserve the right karts — your best estimate works.

54″ and taller · age 15+

Junior karts

Up to 20 mph

48″ and taller · age 7+ recommended

Mini karts

Before you arrive

Three things to do this week.

All three take a couple of minutes, and they save real time at the door on Saturday.

Sign the waiver online

Every racer needs one. Parents and guardians sign for anyone under 18. Doing it now means walking straight in.

On the day

  • Racers need flat, closed-toe shoes — no scarves or loose clothing, and shoulder-length hair tied back.
  • Outside food and beverages are not permitted at Andretti.

See you at the starting line.
